What to bring to renew your Malaysia passport at UTC Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia offices
  1. Bring your IC
  2. Bring your old expired passport
  3. Bring your birth certificate IF BELOW 18 years old
  4. Bring your debit card or credit card. Some UTC does not accept cash for renewal charge.
  5. NO NEED TO BRING PASSPORT SIZED PHOTO. Photo will be taken on the spot. WEAR DARK COLOUR SHIRT TO AVOID TROUBLE with photo taking.
  6. NO NEED TO PHOTOSTAT IC
Do I need to take Passport sized photo at studio first to renew my passport?
- No need, photo will be taken on the spot. Wear dark color shirt to avoid trouble with photo taking. 

*Usually new passport can be taken quite fast on the same day, within 1 hour in some cases depending on queue.
**Call UTC to double check on passport renewal requirements and operating hours before you go to be safe. 
***The other reason to call UTC before you go is to make sure that the passport books are not out of stock. Recently (March 2023), passport books (buku passport) run out of stock at many locations in Malaysia due to overwhelming number of renewal after covid-19  pandemic.
